The ‘I’ itself is ignorance.+

The ‘I’ itself is ignorance. Till one holds the ‘I’ as the Self, it is impossible to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.

The seeker has to get rid of ignorance, which is present in the form of ‘I’, to realize the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth.

People who think, the “I” in everyone and everything is the Self, without realizing the ‘I’ is not the Self.

The ‘I’ is not within you, but you exist within the ‘I’. The ‘I’ is present in the form of the world in which you exist.

The ‘I’ disappears as deep sleep, so what is the use of being attached to it? It is impermanent and illusory because ‘I’ is physical awareness. Physical awareness is not Self-awareness. ‘I-less awareness is Self-awareness.

It is erroneous to identify the Soul, the Self as 'I' or 'I AM' because the Soul the i Self is not 'I' or I AM’. The Soul the Self, is the witness of the 'I'.
To understand the false nature of the ‘I’, the Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana is necessary. The Self is not ‘I’, but the Self is the Soul which is the witness of the ‘I’. Holding the ‘I as the 'Self' leads to hallucination based on the imagination.

Remember:~

What is the use of saying ‘I AM THAT’ without knowing what the ‘Self’ is in actuality? Without knowing the truth of the Self, without realizing the truth of the world in which you exist it is impossible to realize the truth beyond the form, time, and space.  By a mere utterance of the word ‘I AM THAT', the truth will not be revealed.

Deeper self-search reveals the fact that the Self is not you, but the ‘Self’ is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. If the ‘Self’ is not you then what is the use of you saying ‘I AM THIS ‘or 'I AM THAT' because you are the false self within the dualistic illusion.

When the Soul wakes up from its sleep of ignorance the world in which you exist is merely an illusion.

When the Soul remains in its own awareness, the world in which you exist becomes one with the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.

If the ‘I’ is there, then only the mind is present. If the mind is there, then only the universe is present. And the universe is present only when the waking or the dream is present.

One sees differences between things because of ignorance; all these differences would vanish when one gets wisdom and the various thoughts arise because one considers the ‘I’ as the Self.
Holding the ‘Self as ‘I’ blocks you from realizing the Self, which is free from the form, time, and space.

First, make sure the Self is not ‘I’. Make sure what this ‘I’ supposed to be in actuality.

The ‘I’ is ignorance.

The ‘I’ is the duality.

The ‘I’ is form, time, and space.

The ‘I’ is the universe.

The is ‘I’ is waking.

The ‘I’ is the dream.

The ‘I’ is the illusion.

The ‘I’ is the experience of birth, life, death, and the world.

Remember:~

Without the ‘I’ there is no ignorance.

Without the ‘I’ there is no duality.

Without the ‘I’ there is no form, time, and space

Without the ‘I’ there is no universe.

Without the ‘I’ there is no waking.

Without the ‘I’ there is no dream.

Without the ‘I’ there is no illusion. Without the ‘I’ there is no experience of birth, life, death, and the world.

There is something that exists prior to the appearance of the ‘I’. The ‘I’ appears along with the world in which you exist. The Soul, the Self, exists prior to the appearance of the ‘I’ and it prevails even after the disappearance of the ‘I’

The ‘I’ or the world in which you exist is merely an illusory appearance created out of the Soul which is present in the form of consciousness. Thus, the ‘I’ is an illusion and impermanent. The Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness, is permanent and eternal.

That is why Bhagavad Gita: ~ “The permanent is always there, only the transient ‘I’ comes and goes.” (2.18).

The ‘I’ hides the Soul, the Self, which is present in the form of consciousness.

That is why Ashtavakra Gita 16:10:~ “If you desire liberation, but you still say 'I', if you feel the ‘Self’ is the ‘I’, then you are not a wise man or a seeker”. You are simply a man who suffers.

Intellectual answers to various questions remain in the domain of the form, time, and space. The answers may satisfy one intellectually within the scope of from, time and space. The truth is beyond the form, time, and space.

The path of wisdom is the Soulcentric path. Thus, egocentric intellectualism is nothing to do with the truth which is beyond the form, time, and space. All accumulated dross leads to hallucination. :~Santthosh Kumaar

Without the illusion, there is no ego, no body, and no world. +

The ego, body, and the world are part and parcel of the dualistic illusion. Without the illusion, there is no ego, no physical body, and no world.
The ego, body, and the world appear together and disappear together. The dualistic illusion appears as the waking experience. the waking experience appears as the ‘I’.
Without the ‘I’ there is no waking experience. Without the waking experience, there is no experience of the birth, life, death, and the world.
The ‘I’ appears and disappears means ~ the mind appears and disappears.
The ‘I’ appears and disappears means ~ the form, time, and space appear and disappear.
The ‘I’ appears and disappears means ~ the dualistic illusion appears and disappears.
The ‘I’ appears and disappears means ~ the universe appears and disappears.
The ‘I’ appears and disappears means ~ the waking appears and disappears.
But
The ‘I’ appears as the mind and disappears as the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.
The ‘I’ appears as form, time, and space and disappears as the Soul, which is present in the form of the consciousness.
The ‘I’ appears as the universe, which is a dualistic illusion, and disappears as the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.
The ‘I’ appears as the universe and disappears as the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.
The ‘I’ appears as the waking experience and disappears as the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.
The ‘I’ hides the Soul. Therefore, the seeker has to realize ‘what is this ‘I’ supposed to be in actuality.
If the Self is not ‘I’ but the Self is the Soul then from the standpoint of the Soul, the Self: ~
Where is the ‘I’?
Where is the ego?
Where is the body?
Where is the mind?
Where is the world in which you exist?
Where are the form, time, and space?
Where is the waking experience?
Where is the duality?
Where is void?
They are or have become one with the Soul which is present in the form of consciousness. The consciousness is the ultimate truth or Brahman.
The ‘I’ is present only when the mind is present. The mind is present only when the world is present. The world is present only when there is a waking experience.
Deeper self-search reveals the fact that the waking experience is not considered different from the world. The world is not considered different from the mind. The mind is not considered different from the I’. This truth has to be assimilated.
The ‘I’ is merely an illusion created out of the Soul, which is present in the form of the consciousness. ‘I’ is not the subject. The ‘I’ is an object to the Soul, which is the formless, timeless, and spaceless subject. :~Santthosh Kumaar

Realizing the ‘Self’ is not you but the ‘Self is the Soul is Self-realization.+

Realizing the  ‘Self’ is not you but the ‘Self is the Soul is Self-realization.  The existence of the world in which we exist is dependent on the ‘I’. Without the ‘I’ the world, in which we exist cease to exist.  The ‘I’ hides the truth.

Bhagavad Gita: ~ “You must first see the ‘I’ as illusory before you see others as illusory. ~ CH.2 v.16

Remember this: Self-realization is to realize the ‘Self’ is not ‘I’ but the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. The ‘Self’ is not limited to the body because it is not within the body but it pervades everything and everywhere in the world in which we exist.  Limiting the Soul, the innermost ‘Self’ to the physical body is an error because the Soul is the ever formless, timeless and spaceless existence.

The ‘Self is not the body and the ‘Self’ is not within the body.  The Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness, is nothing but the cause of the world in which we exist and it itself is uncaused.

Most of the Gurus use the word ‘I’ or ‘I AM’ for the Soul the Self.
The translator used the word ‘I’ and ‘IAM’ for the Self.   You must remember the fact that the ‘I’ is the cause of ignorance.

The Self is not within the physical body because the ‘Self' pervades in everything and everywhere in the world, in which you exist.

Limiting the Self to the physical body is an error. All the modern Gurus of the east are stuck with the ‘I’ and glorified the ‘I’ and propagated the imaginary cocktail of imagination.

The Bhagavad Gita: ~” The permanent is always there; only the transient ‘I’ comes and goes. (2.18)”.

The ‘I’ hides the Soul, the Self, which is the cause of the 'I'.

People think the ‘I’ without the body is the Self. The seeker has to understand the fact that ‘I’ is not the Self, but the witness of the ‘I’ is the true Self, which is eternal.

The ‘I’ is present only when the mind is present. The mind is present only when the world is present. The world is present only when there is the waking experience.

Deeper self-search reveals the fact that the waking experience is not considered different from the world. The world is not considered different from the mind. The mind is not considered different from the’ I’. This truth has to be assimilated.

The ‘I’ is merely an illusion created out of the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. ‘I’ is not the subject. The ‘I’ is an object to the Soul, which is the formless, timeless and spaceless subject.

If the ‘I’ is an illusion then the world in which you exist is bound to be an illusion.

If the ‘I’ is an illusion then three states, are bound to be an illusion.

If the ‘I’ is an illusion then the form, time, and space are bound to be an illusion.

If 'I’ is an illusion then the individual experience of birth, life, death is bound to be an illusion.

If the ‘I’ is an illusion then the words and thoughts are bound to be an illusion.

If the ‘I’ is an illusion then the duality is bound to be an illusion.

The seeker has to make sure what is this ‘I’ supposed to be? The seeker has to make sure the unreal nature of the ‘I’ which comes and goes in order to realize the truth, which is beyond the form, time, and space.

That is why Ashtavakra Gita 16:10:~If you desire liberation, but you still say "I," If you feel the ‘Self’ is the ‘I’, You are not a wise man or a seeker. You are simply a man who suffers”.

People are stuck with the reality of the ‘I’, which they take it as real because some Gurus have propagated the Self is the ‘I’. is no need to convince such mindsets. The seeker of truth accepts only the truth nothing but the truth. :~Santthosh Kumaar

Sage Sankara’s Advaitic wisdom is hidden treasure of the spiritual truth.+

The Advaitic Sages have received their wisdom through inner revelation.   They hold that existence is without beginning and without end. Sage Sankara’s Advaitic wisdom is a hidden treasure of the spiritual truth.
Sage Sankara says: ~   A buried treasure is not uncovered by merely uttering the words: “Come forth.” You must follow the right directions, dig, remove the stones and earth from above it, and then make it your own. In the same way, the pure truth of the Atman, which is buried under Maya and the effects of Maya, can be reached by meditation, contemplation, and other spiritual disciplines but never by subtle arguments”.

People who are stuck with the idea that the Soul is within their physical body will never be able to grasp the Advaitic truth, which is beyond form, time, and space.  Without form, time, and space the ‘I’ cease to exist.

Without the ‘I’ the form, time and space cease to exist. Without form, time, and space, the world in which we exist ceases to exist.  Without the world, in which we exist the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness alone exists.
The Soul is not limited to an individual. The individuals are many but the Soul is one.  The individual exists within the universe.  The Soul is the cause of the universe and it itself is uncaused.  The Soul is not within the human body.
The universe is created out of single stuff.  That single stuff is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. Thus, whatever the universe contains is bound to be the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.
All the Gurus of the east and the west are based on the dualistic perspective. Dualistic knowledge is egocentric knowledge. All egocentric Advaita or nonduality is based on the imagination. All imagined Advaita is will not help to cross the domain of form, time, and space.

The egocentric knowledge keeps the Soul in the intoxication of the ‘I’. The ‘I’ hides the whole truth.

The Gurus and the teachers of the nonduality of the east and west are stuck up with their own accepted truth gathered from here and there and their egoic attitude blocks than from realizing the Advaita hidden by the dvaita, which is present in the form of the ‘I’.

Mundaka Upanishads:~“So-called spiritual pundits and learned are called children because a child takes whatever it thinks as truth. The question never occurs to children “Is what I have seen or thought really the truth?" (P.334 line 9)

Advaita is the nature of the Soul. Advaita is second to none. Sage  Sankara’s Advaita is universal wisdom that reveals on its own to all the serious and sincere seekers of truth.

The real Advaitic wisdom of Sage Sankara is soulcentric knowledge.  Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana is soulcentric knowledge that destroys ignorance.  : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

In Spirituality or Adyathma, the ultimate truth is Brahman or God in truth.+

In Spirituality or Adyathma,  the ultimate truth is Brahman or God in truth.  The Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness is the ultimate truth or  Brahman or God in truth.

Consciousness is the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth. Thus, there is no devotee, devotion deity, worship, and the world in Nondualistic reality, because everything is the Soul that is present in the form of consciousness.

The Soul is the  Self. The Soul, the Self, which is present in the form of consciousness is God in truth.   Thus,  Atman is Brahman,
God in truth is the Soul, the  Self, which is present in the form of Consciousness.
Even the Bhagavad Gita says: ~ Brahmano hi pratisthaham ~ Brahman (God in truth) is considered the all-pervading consciousness, which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material. (14.27).
When Bhagavad Gita says, God is considered the all-pervading consciousness which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material then nothing has to be accepted as God other than consciousness.

Even Brihadaranyaka Upanishad: ~ Brahman (God in truth) is in the form of the Athma, and it is indeed Athma itself.

Even Rig Veda: ~ The Atman is the cause; Atman (Soul)  is the support of all that exists in this universe. May ye never turn away from the Atman, the Self. May ye never accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman?" (10:48, 5)

The world in which you exist is a dualistic illusion created out of the ‘Self’ which is not you but the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. Whatever you have seen, known, believed and experienced is within the dualistic illusion.

Thus, your existence is bound to an illusion created out of consciousness(God in truth), which is real and eternal.

Like an ornament made from gold is Gold, that which is born out of consciousness is consciousness. Like gold is a permanent thing, in ornaments made of gold, similarly, the mind, which is in the form of the universe is born out of  consciousness, is  consciousness in its essence.:~Santthosh Kumaar

If the present the world in which you exist is mere an illusion, then whatever you believed as a real in this world in which you exist is bound to be an illusion.+

When ‘Self’ is not ‘you’ then whatever you have seen, known believed, and experienced as reality is bound to be an illusion. Thus, self-realization is necessary to realize your present the world in which you exist is merely an illusion.

If the present world in which you exist is merely an illusion, then whatever you believed as real in this world in which you exist is bound to be an illusion.

Bhagavad Gita: ~ Brahmano hi pratisthaham ~ Brahman (God in truth) is considered the all-pervading consciousness, which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material. (14.27).

When Bhagavad Gita says, God is considered the all-pervading consciousness which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material then nothing has to be accepted as God other than consciousness.

Religious Gods are not God in truth. One must realize  God in truth.

Lord Krishna says Ch ~V: ~ “Those who know the Self in truth.". The last two words (tattvataha) are usually ignored by pundits, but they make all the difference between the ordinary concept of God and the truth about God.

The dualistic worship of "God” is only for the ignorant populace. The God in truth is only Atman, the innermost ‘Self’. In reality, there is no duality, no differentiation. Only Atman exists.

From the dualistic perspective, people see the world in which they exist as a reality.    They see their body as the body, their ego as the ego, and the world in which they exist as the world whereas a Gnani sees everything from the nondualistic perspective.

A Gnani sees his body as consciousness, his ego as consciousness, and the world in which he exists as consciousness.  For a Gnani, whatever is seen, known, believed, and experienced is nothing but consciousness.  There is unity in diversity in Gnani's understanding whereas the ignorant people see only diversity and separation.

Thus, it is necessary to learn to view and judge the worldview from the non-dualistic perspective in order to realize that form, time and space are one in essence. There is nothing to realize other than realizing that consciousness is everything. Consciousness is second to none.

When everything is nothing but consciousness then what remains which is not  consciousness

The world in which we exist is both real and unreal. It is real because it is a manifestation of consciousness, but is unreal, in the sense, that it is not absolute and eternal like consciousness itself.

People's approach is more practical, and they stuck with the reality of the world, they take it as real. That is why all the confusion.

That is why Sage Sankara says: ~  VC-63. Without causing the objective universe to vanish and without knowing the truth of the ‘Self’, how is one to achieve liberation by the mere utterance of the word Brahman? — It would result merely in an effort of speech. :~Santthosh Kumaar

The Soul, the Self reveals ‘what is real’ and ‘what is unreal” when the seeker is receptive and ready.+

Sage  Sankara restrained himself from parting the Advaitic wisdom or  Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana to the masses and only a selected few. It was hidden from the people who were not qualified and receptive to it.

Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana was not written down but was imparted orally to the chosen few. Thus, religion was given to the masses, and knowledge of the spirit was given to only selected a few.

Thus, we find traces of the knowledge of the Spirit in religious books in the form of parables.
The Soul, the 'Self' reveals ‘what is real’ and ‘what is unreal” when the seeker is receptive and ready.
Katha Upanishads: ~ This Atman is attained by him alone whom It chooses. To such a one Atman reveals its own form. (II -23-P-20)
All the chosen ones will get freedom from experiencing the illusion (duality) as a reality.  All those who have chosen the path of wisdom are the chosen ones.
Millions are searching for truth, but one in a million will realize it. You are one from those million.

Katha Upanishad says:~ Fools dwelling in darkness, but thinking themselves wise and erudite, go round and round, by various tortuous paths, like the blind led by the blind. (Ch II-5 P-14)

As the seeker proceeds deeper self-search. The seeker will come to the final conclusion that there are no such Gods that exist with forms and names.  God in actuality will reveal only when one drops the orthodoxy and starts thinking in an unorthodox way.
In the Bhagavad, Gita Krishna says: ~It is only one amongst thousands of people who strive for spiritual salvation. Even amongst such seekers, it is only the rare person who gets to know “Self” correctly.’ (7.3)

No one can stop anybody from believing in their religious belief of God if that is what people want to stick to it.
People dedicated their lives to devotion to religion, cult, caste, and creed and their religious beliefs through so many wasted years of unanswered prayers worship and rituals never given any fruits.
When all these outdated dogmas introduced in the past by religion no longer have any value because it has lost its luster.   Everyone is free to choose to live their life how they want.
Sage Sankara’s wisdom has nothing to do with the orthodox belief systems. Some philosophers in the past dissented from this interpretation of Vedanta philosophy, holding that the incarnated Souls were separate from the Divine Essence and only finally merged with it after the cycles of birth.

All these theoretical philosophies are based on the imagination based on the false ‘Self’ (ego or you) within the false experience (waking).

Sage Sankara:~ "VC- Let erudite scholars quote all the scripture, let Gods be invoked through sacrifices, let elaborate rituals be performed, let personal Gods be propitiated---yet, without the realization of one‘s identity with the ‘Self’, there shall be no liberation for the individual, not  even in the lifetimes of a hundred Brahmas put together (verses-6)

Sage Sankara has hidden his wisdom. the seeker has to discover the hidden wisdom.

That is why Sage Sankara: ~65. As a treasure hidden underground requires (for its extraction) competent instruction, excavation, the removal of stones and other such things lying above it, and (finally) grasping, but never comes out by being (merely) called out by name, so the transparent Truth of the Self, which is hidden by Maya and its effects, is to be attained through the instructions of a knower of Brahman, followed by reflection, meditation and so forth, but not through perverted arguments.

Therefore, the seeker should personally strive by all means to be free from the bondage of experiencing the dualistic illusion as a reality.

Sage Sankara’s wisdom has nothing to do with orthodox belief systems. Sage  Sankara is the only sage who is the final authority on the Advaitic truth. The Advaitic truth is rational truth and scientific truth without dogma.

The Advaitic orthodoxy is not the means to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.  Advaitic orthodoxy is meant for the ignorant populace that is unfit to grasp the highest truth.   The Advaitic orthodoxy has nothing to do with the ultimate truth or Brahman.

All sect-based beliefs are dualistic and unphilosophical nothing to do with the ultimate truth or Brahman.  In Spirituality, the ultimate truth is God.  Thus, the Advaitic orthodoxy is a sect that has nothing to do with the Advaitic wisdom of the Sage  Sankara. Advaitic orthodox sect is meant for the ignorant populace.

Sage Sankara said:- Neither by the practice of yoga nor philosophy, nor by good works nor by learning, does liberation come, but only through the realization that Atman and Brahman are one in no other way(1) Vivekachoodamani v 56, pg~25
Mundaka Upanishad condemns rituals.  The Para or Higher knowledge is the knowledge of the Supreme Being while the Apara or Lower Knowledge is that of following sacrificial rites and ceremonies. (1/2/ 1 – 6)

Mundaka Upanishads:~ So-called spiritual pundits and learned are called children because a child takes whatever it thinks as truth. The question never occurs to children “Is what I have seen or thought really truth?" (P.334 line 9)

Some of the beliefs that are held in the religion but contrary to the idea of personal God are being set aside by Sage  Sankara himself whom orthodox people consider as the founder of their religion.

All God propagated by belief systems is nothing but imagination.  There is nothing so absurd which men have not worshipped in religion, every imaginable face has been given to God.  If God is the creator then it is foolish to worship anything as God from his creation because the creation is apart from God.

Every belief system has its own idea and conviction of God.  Thus every belief system is based on the false self.  Therefore, whatever is based on the false self has to be falsehood?

Thus, the idea of God in any belief system is merely imagination based on the false self.

Yajurveda – chapter- 32:~   God is Supreme Spirit has no ‘Pratima’ (idol) or material shape. God cannot be seen directly by anyone. God pervades all beings and all directions.

Thus,   Idolatry does not find any support from the Vedas.

God is a formless, timeless, and spaceless existence. According to the Vedas God neither has any neither image nor God resides in any particular idol or statue. God cannot be seen directly by anyone. God pervades all beings and all directions.

Mythological God and Goddesses are based on the belief. The belief is no God. The belief implies duality. From the ultimate standpoint, the duality is merely an illusion. Thus, whatever one sees, knows, believes and experiences within the dualistic illusion is bound to be an illusion.

Mythological stories are a myth. Whatever is based on myth is merely a superstition.  Mythology was introduced in the past for the ignorant masses. It has to be discarded as one progresses in his spiritual advancement.

All the mythological Gods are worshipped in the form of idols.  The belief system which propagated ideas of many Gods and Goddesses Bhakti is the only way to God is simply try to lead the people to darkness with its dogma and idea of many Gods, which is apart from the ‘Self’.

Mythology breeds superstition, blind beliefsenseless rituals, and most irrational and gives them a divine outlook. Mythological stories are a myth. Whatever is based on myth is merely a superstition.

Mythology was introduced in the past for the ignorant masses. It has to be discarded if one has to realize the ultimate truth or Brahman or  God in truth. :~Santthosh Kumaar

Sage Sankara said: ~ Neither by the practice of yoga nor philosophy, nor by good works nor by learning, does liberation come.+

The truth is beyond all philosophy. When the seeker realizes all his accumulation of knowledge from different sources is inadequate and useless in quenching his spiritual thirst, he will start his inner (mental) journey on his own.

The journey is full of obstacles because the seeker has to drop all the accumulated dross and all the conditioning (samskaras) to cross the ocean of duality or samsara.

That is why Sage Sankara said: ~ Neither by the practice of yoga nor philosophy, nor by good works nor by learning, does liberation come, but only through the realization that Atman and Brahman are one in no other way. (1) Vivekachoodamani v 56, pg~25

As one indulges in deeper Self-search he will know somewhere he is going wrong, and it is for him to overcome the entire obstacle on his own by knowing what is obstructing his realization.

The greatest hindrance is mixing religion, God, scriptures, yogic theories and intellectual speculations, and logical conclusions. Moreover, attachment to scriptures, personal God, and religious code of conduct keep one permanently in the grip of duality.

Scriptures are not needed in pursuit of truth. Even the Upanishads and the Sages of truth declare the same.

The ultimate truth has to be ascertained without the scriptures by realizing the Self is neither the waking entity not the dream entity but the Self is a formless Soul which is present in the form of consciousness.

In the realm of truth form, time, and space are created out of single stuff. That single stuff is consciousness. Realizing the single stuff as the ultimate truth is Self-realization or truth realization. To realize this truth there is no need for the scriptures.

The ultimate truth has to be realized first then only it is possible to know what the scriptures are saying.

Scriptures are being added from time to time. This process will go on. There is the final authority among them? One contradicts the other: duality reigns supreme.

I quote Scriptural citations only after verifying reality and proving the truth, to point out that the scriptures teach the same thing. If one quotes them before having demonstrated the truth, then it is scholasticism.

Remember:~

Self-knowledge cannot be attained by taking sanyasa or by the study of the scriptures and intellectual understanding or by bookish knowledge.  Therefore, there is no use in studying the scriptures and other scriptures in order to acquire non-dual wisdom.  That is why Buddha rejected the scriptures, and even Sage Sankara indicated that the ultimate truth lies beyond religion, the concept of God, and the scriptures.

There is only one Reality to be known, the same for all seekers, but the ways to it, are hidden by religion.  Self-discovery is the only way, towards the non-dual Absolute without any religious doctrines, which will help the seekers to unfold the mystery of the illusion in which we all are searching for the truth of our true existence.

That is why Sage Sankara says: ~ VC 56. Neither by Yoga, nor by Sankhya, nor by good work, nor by learning, but by the realization of one's identity with Brahman is Liberation possible, and by no other means.

58. Loud speech consisting of a shower of words, the skill in expounding the Scriptures, and likewise erudition - these merely bring on a little personal enjoyment to the scholar but are no good for Liberation.

59. The study of the Scriptures is useless so long as the highest Truth is unknown, and it is equally useless when the highest Truth has already been known.

60. The Scriptures consisting of many words are a dense forest that merely causes the mind to ramble. Hence, men of wisdom should earnestly set about knowing the true nature of the Self.

61. For one who has been bitten by the serpent of Ignorance, the only remedy is the knowledge of Brahman. Of what avail are the Vedas and (other) Scriptures, Mantras (sacred formulae), and medicines to such a one?

62. A disease does not leave off if one simply utters the name of the medicine, without taking it; (similarly) without direct realization one cannot be liberated by the mere utterance of the word Brahman.

63. Without causing the objective universe to vanish and without knowing the truth of the Self, how is one to achieve Liberation by the mere utterance of the word Brahman? — It would result merely in an effort of speech.

64. Without killing one’s enemies, and possessing oneself of the splendor of the entire surrounding region, one cannot claim to be an emperor by merely saying, ‘I am an emperor’.

66. Therefore, the wise should, as in the case of disease and the like, personally strive by all the means in their power to be free from the bondage of repeated births and deaths.

Then there is no need for the scriptures, religion, and idea of God.  One has to be more rational to realize the Advaitic truth, which is the ultimate truth or scientific truth. :~Santthosh Kumaar
