All the path and practices available in India are not meant for those who are seriously seeking the truth of their true existence.+

Those who come to India in search truth must know the truth they are seeking, is not available in Himalayas or Ashrams or with any Gurus or yogis, but it is hidden by the world in which they exist. All the paths and practices available in India are not meant for those who are seriously seeking the truth of their true existence.
Sage Sankara says: ~ “Atman is Brahman. The Atman alone is real is not religious truth. Sage Sankara declared this Advaitic truth, which the ultimate truth to the whole world, many centuries back is the rational truth, scientific truth, and ultimate truth.
Thus, the Atman which is present in the form of the consciousness is real and eternal, the world in which we exist is merely an illusion.
Sage Sankara already declared ‘what is the truth’ and ‘what is untruth’.
Ataman is Brahman ~ “That is the Soul the innermost ‘Self’ is the ultimate truth”.
The world is unreal ~ “The unreal hides the truth because the world is created out of the real.
Sage  Sankara: ~ “VC 65-.As a treasure hidden underground requires (for its extraction) competent instruction, excavation, the removal of stones and other such things lying above it and (finally) grasping, but never comes out by being (merely) called out by name, so the transparent Truth of the Self, which is hidden by Maya and its effects, is to be attained through the instructions of a knower of Brahman, followed by reflection, meditation and so forth, but not through perverted arguments.
Sage Sankara:~ VC~ 63. Without causing the objective universe to vanish and without knowing the truth of the ‘Self’ how is one to achieve Liberation by the mere utterance of the word Brahman? — It would result merely in an effort of speech.
Atman which is present in the form of the consciousness is real and eternal, the world in which we exist is merely an illusion.
Sage  Sankara says the transparent Truth of the Self, which is hidden by the illusion, is to be attained through the instructions of a knower of Brahman, (Gnani)
Sage Sankara clearly indicates in Viveka Chudamani (2) that the Knower of the Atman (A Gnani) "bears no outward mark of a holy man" (Stanza 539).
Vedas declares not to accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman but people unaware of their own sacred Vedas and worship non-Vedic Gods as real Gods.
Brihadaranyaka Upanishad: ~ Brahman (God in truth) is in the form of the Athma, and it is indeed Athma itself.
Even the Bhagavad Gita says: ~ Brahmano hi pratisthaham ~ Brahman (God in truth) is considered the all-pervading consciousness, which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material. (14.27).
When Bhagavad Gita says, God is considered the all-pervading consciousness which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material then nothing has to be accepted other than consciousness a God.
Religious Gods are merely blind belief. Religious God cannot be considered as a center because the Soul, the innermost ‘Self’ is the center of all that exists. Without the Soul the world in which you exist ceases to exist, it means the religious God is dependent on the Soul for his existence.
Even Rig Veda: ~ The Atman is the cause; Atman is the support of all that exists in this universe. May ye never turn away from the Atman, the Self. May ye never accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman?" (10:48, 5)
The Brihadaranyaka Upanishad: "He who worships the deities as entities entirely separate from him does not know the truth. For the Gods, he is like a pasu (beast)". (1. 4. 10)
The Gods worshiped in India today are not God in truth. Believing and worshipping in non-Vedic Gods barred by Vedas.
That is why Swami Vivekananda: ~ “The masses in India cry to sixty million Gods and still die like dogs. Where are these Gods?
Be aware of what you are searching for. Be aware of what you are seeking for. The truth will reveal itself to you if you move in the right direction. You are making it complicated by accepting the untruth propagated as truth.
There is nothing but water in the Holy Rivers. Even if you dip million times and by indulging in performing pranayama, your ignorance will not vanish.
Sage Sankara: ~ “VC Neither sacred baths nor any amount of charity nor even Hundreds of pranayamas* can give us the knowledge of our own Self. The firm experience of the nature of the Self is seen to proceed from inquiry along the lines of the salutary advice of the wise. (13)
All the Gods sculpted of stone and metal will not be pleased with your devotion and offers. People are praying out to them.
Sage Sankara: ~ VC- Let erudite scholars quote all the scripture, let Gods be invoked through sacrifices, let elaborate rituals be performed, let personal Gods be propitiated---yet, without the realization of one‘s identity with the Self, there shall be no liberation for the individual, not even in the lifetimes of a hundred Brahmas put together (verses-6)
The Sacred Books of the East are nothing but words you will not find the truth in it.
Sage Sankara says: ~ “Keep the scriptures for children but throw them on the fire for wise seekers.
Mundaka Upanishads: ~ “So-called spiritual pundits and learned are called children because a child takes whatever it thinks as truth. The question never occurs to children “Is what I have seen or thought really the truth?" (P.334 line 9)
People have lived indulging in all these priests crafted beliefs dogmas and superstitions, something, that is not true.
One of Sage Sankara’s missions was to wean people away from ritualistic approach advocated by Mimamsakas and to project wisdom (jnana) as the means of liberation in the light of Upanishad teachings.
Sage Sankara criticized severely the ritualistic attitude and those who advocated such practices.
Mundaka Upanishad says ~ “The rituals and the sacrifices described in the Vedas deal with lower knowledge. The sages ignored these rituals and went in search of higher knowledge. ... Such rituals are unsafe rafts for crossing the sea of samsara, of birth and death. Doomed to shipwreck are those who try to cross the sea of samsara on these poor rafts. Ignorant of their own ignorance, yet wise In their own esteem, these deluded men Proud of their vain learning go round and round Like the blind led by the blind.
If you are seeking truth and you are trying to get it from yoga and following some teaching and following some Guru and other paths then you are dwelling in ignorance and go round and round, by various tortuous paths, like the blind led by the blind. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

The ultimate truth or Brahman is God in truth. God in truth is not the religious God that people believe and worship.+

The ultimate truth or Brahman or  God in truth. God in truth is not the religious God that people believe in and worship.
Sage Sankara says: ~ Ataman is Brahman. Thus, the Soul the ‘Self’ is God. Therefore, all the Gods with form and attributes are mere imaginations based on the false self. Thus, there are adulterations and add-ons in the past, which have to be bifurcated if one wants pure Vedic essence.
Knowledge of God is Advaita because God is Advaita, the one without the second.
Understanding what is God is not so easy. Religious people can only imagine God based on their beliefs. All the belief-based Gods with form and attribute can exist within the domain of form, time, and space.
Form, the ultimate standpoint form, time, and space are an illusion. From the ultimate standpoint Soul alone exists. The Soul the Self is a formless, timeless, and spaceless existence.
God is the Soul, the innermost Self. God becomes the universe (duality) in waking and the universe becomes God in deep sleep (nonduality). The universe is nothing but an illusion created out of God.
When you realize the ‘Self’ not but the ‘Self’ is the Soul, God then there is no second thing that exists other than God, which is present in the form of consciousness.
Only when one realizes God in truth he will realize the universe is nothing but an illusion created out of  Consciousness, which is in truth.
Rig Veda 1/164/46: ~ “They call him Indra, Mitra, Varuna, Agni, or the heavenly sunbird Garutmat. The seers call in many ways that which is One; they speak of Agni, Yama, Matarishvan.
Rig Veda 8/58/2: Only One is the Fire, enkindled in numerous ways; only One is the Sun, pervading this whole universe; only One is the Dawn, illuminating all things. In very truth, the One has become the whole world.
That is why Lord Krishna Says Ch ~V: ~ “Those who know the 'Self' in truth.". The last two words (tattvataha) are usually ignored by pundits, but they make all the difference between the ordinary concept of God and the truth about God.
Lord Sri Krishna himself says that he can do nothing to make a man intelligent straight away. The adepts give Prasad, blessings, initiations, mantrams, etc. only to confer temporary peace of mind, to help one to get rid of worries, but not to confer Gnana. The capacity to receive it must first be inborn in man by evolutionary degree.
The Bhagavad Gita: ~ brahmano hi pratisthaham ~ Brahman is considered the all-pervading consciousness which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material. ( 14.27)
There is no other God exists other than the Spirit, which is present in the form of consciousness.
Even Rig Veda: ~ The Atman is the cause; Atman is the support of all that exists in this universe. May ye never turn away from the Atman, the Self. May ye never accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman?" (10:48, 5)
Even Brihadaranyaka Upanishad: ~ Brahman (God in truth) is in the form of the Athma, and it is indeed Athma itself.
In Yajurveda – chapter- 32:~  God is  Supreme Spirit.
Vedas and Upanishad confirm the Soul, the innermost Self is present in the form of the Spirit or the consciousness.
The Bible says: ~ God is a Spirit, and they that worship God must worship God in Spirit and in Truth. (John 4:24)
The Spirit is the root element of the universe. The Spirit is present in the form of the Soul, the Self. The Soul is present in the form of consciousness. From the Spirit, the universe comes into existence. In the Spirit, the universe resides. And into the Spirit, the universe is dissolved. The Spirit is the parent of all that is there is.
When the Upanishad says: that the human goal is to acquire Self-Knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana and they indicate the personal Gods, scriptures, worship, and rituals are not the means to Self–knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana, then why anyone should indulge in it.
Realize right now right here the Soul, the Spirit is God. There is nothing to realize other than realizing the Self is not you but the Self is the God the Spirit, which is present in the form of consciousness. Knowledge of God is Advaita because God is Advaita, the one without the second. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

Why go round and round by various tortuous paths when there is clear cut truth declared by Sage Sankara.+

Why go round and round by various tortuous paths when there is clear-cut truth declared by Sage Sankara.

When the Vedas and Upanishad declare that the Soul which is present in the form of the consciousness is actually nothing but Brahman, then why to go round and round, by various tortuous paths, like the blind led by the blind. One has to realize the fact that, the mind is in the form of the universe. Trace the source of mind and realize that the source is consciousness. The mind arises from consciousness as the waking or the dream and subsides as the deep sleep.
Even Rig Veda: ~ The Atman is the cause; Atman is the support of all that exists in this universe. May ye never turn away from the Atman the innermost self. May ye never accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman?" (10:48, 5)

In Manduka Upanishad Brahman and Atman are defined as same:~
सर्वं ह्येतद् ब्रह्मायमा- त्मा ब्रह्म सोयमात्मा चतुष्पात् / sarvam hyetad brahmaayamaatmaa brahm soyamaatmaa chatushpaat ~
Manduka Upanishad, verse-2:
Translation:~
sarvam(स- र्वम्)- Whole/All/Everything; hi(हि)- Really/Just/Surely/Indeed; etad(एतद्)- This here/This; brahm(ब्रह्म)- Brahm/Brahman; ayam(अयम्)- This/Here; aatmaa(आत्मा)- Atma/Atman; sah(सः)- He; ayam(अयम्)- This/Here; chatus(चतुस्)- Four/Quadruple; paat(पात्)- Step/Foot/Quarter
Fragmented Verse:~
सर्वम् हि एतद् ब्रह्म अयम् आत्मा ब्रह्म सः अयम् आत्मा चतुस पात् / sarvam hi etad brahm ayama aatmaa brahm sah ayam aatmaa chatus paat
Simple Meaning: ~
All indeed is this Brahman; This Atman is Brahman; God, this Atman has four steps/quarters.
While Brahman lies behind the sum total of the objective universe, some human minds boggle at any attempt to explain it with only the tools provided by reason. Brahman is beyond the senses, beyond the mind, beyond intelligence, beyond imagination. Indeed, the highest idea is that Brahman is beyond both existence and non-existence, transcending and including time, causation and space, and thus can never be known in the same material sense as one traditionally 'understands' a given concept or object.
Imagine a person who is blind from birth and has not seen anything. Is it possible for us to explain to him the meaning of the color red? Is any amount of thinking or reasoning on his part ever going to make him understand the sensation of the color red? In a similar fashion, the idea of Brahman cannot be explained or understood through material reasoning or any form of human communication. Brahman is like the color red; those who can sense it cannot explain or argue with those who have never sensed it.
Bhad Upanishad: ~ “This Self is dearer than a son, dearer than wealth, dearer than everything else because It is innermost. If one holds the 'Self' dear were to say to a person who speaks of anything other than the Self as dear, that he, the latter, will lose what he holds dear—and the former is certainly competent to do so—it will indeed come true. One should meditate upon the Self alone as dear. He who meditates upon the Self alone as dear—what he holds dear will not perish”. (Bhad Upanishad -8-p- -211)
Taittiriya Upanishad (II.1):~ where Brahman is described in the following manner: Satyam Jnanam Anantam Brahman - "Brahman is of the nature of truth, knowledge, and infinity". Thus, Brahman is the origin and end of all things, material or otherwise. Brahman is the root source and Divine Ground of everything that exists and does not exist. It is defined as unknowable and Satchidananda (Truth-Consciousness-Bliss).
The ultimate truth or Brahman is God. God in truth is not the religious God that people believe and worship. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

According to Sages of truth the Atmic path is not meant for religious and yogic mindset.+

According to Sages of Truth, the Atmic path is not meant for the religious and yogic mindset. There is no need to convince anyone and waste time in perverted argument and provocation.
The seeker's aim is to think deeply reflect constantly to realize the truth, which is beyond the form, time and space.
The ignorant who want to remain in his own ignorance is not qualified for the Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.
The Atmic path is not for the religious and yogic minded people. Religious and yogic people must move on their chosen path. The Atmic path is for only seekers of truth who are seriously searching the truth of their true existence.
Sages of truth restrained themselves parting the Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana to the mass and only a selected few. It was hidden from the people who were not qualified and receptive to it.
Self- knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana was not written down but was imparted orally to the chosen few.
Thus, religion was given to the mass and knowledge of the spirit is given only selected few. Thus we find traces of the knowledge of the spirit in the religious books in the form of parables.
Katha Upanishad says: ~ This Atman is attained by him alone whom It chooses. To such a one Atman reveals Its own form. ( II -23-P-20)
Upanishads:~ Fools dwelling in darkness, but thinking they wise and erudite, go round and round, by various tortuous paths, like the blind led by the blind. (Upanishads Nikilanada - Ch II-5 P-14)
The Soul, the'Self' reveals ‘what is real’ and ‘what is unreal” when the seeker is receptive and ready
Do not believe in a thing because you have read about it in a book. Do not believe in a thing because wise man has said it was true. Do not believe in words because they are hallowed by dualistic knowledge. Find out the truth for yourself.
The seeker has to use Soulcentric reason, which leads to the realization of the truth, which is beyond form, time, and space
Advaitic wisdom can never be gained by argument and provocation. Discard all the accumulated dualistic knowledge by realizing the world in which you exist, exists because of ignorance.
Get rid of ignorance by realizing the world in which you exist is created out of single clay and that single clay is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.
Realizing the ‘Self’’ is not you but the Soul is Self-realization. The Soul is the cause of the universe and it, itself is uncaused.
Katha Upanishad says:~ Fools dwelling in darkness, but thinking themselves wise and erudite, go round and round, by various tortuous paths, like the blind led by the blind. (Ch~ II-5 P-14)
Those who indulge in a perverse argument from their own standpoint and opinion are not seeking the truth, which is beyond form, time, and space. They just want to exhibit their accumulated knowledge accumulated from here and there. They think what they know is the ultimate truth.
They think whatever they propagate is the ultimate truth. The question never occurs to them, “Is what I know is really the truth. : ~ Santthosh Kumaa

If you are seeking truth nothing but truth then prepare yourself for to unfold the truth which is hidden by the ‘I’.+

All those whose intelligence has been stolen by the intoxication of the illusory ‘I', they stick to the ‘I’ based Gurus and their teachings.
Many have got the childish and slavish mentality and accept statements as merely because they are uttered by famous men or a popular guru or a yogi. They lack the scientific method of investigation.
That is why Ashtavakra Gita 16:10:~ If you desire liberation, but you still say 'I', if you feel the ‘Self’ is the ‘I’, you are not a wise man or a seeker. You are simply a man who suffers.
People are stuck with the reality of the ‘I’, which they take it as real because some Gurus have propagated the Self is the ‘I’.
There is no need to convince such a mindset. The seeker of truth accepts only the truth nothing but the truth.
If you are seeking for truth nothing but truth then prepare yourself to unfold the truth which is hidden by the ‘I’.
Bhagavad Gita: ~ “You must first see the ‘I’ as illusory before you see others as illusory. ~ CH.2 v.16
Remember this:
The ‘I’ is the cause of ignorance because ‘I’ itself is ignorance.
The ‘I’ is the cause of the mind because ‘I’ itself is the mind.
The ‘I’ is the cause of the form, time, and space because the ‘I’ itself is form, time, and space together.
The ‘I’ is the cause of the universe because the ‘I’ itself is the universe.
The ‘‘I’ is the case of the waking or dream because the ‘I’ itself appears as the waking or dream.
The ‘I’ is the cause of the experience of the birth, life, death, and the world because the ‘I’ itself is the experience of the birth, life, death and the world.
The ‘I’ is the cause of the duality because ‘I’ itself is duality.
The ‘I’ is the cause of the illusion because the ‘I’ itself is an illusion.
The ‘I’’ is the cause of all their ignorance, mistakes, and misunderstanding. Every man thinks "I know". He does not stop to ask first "What is the meaning of what I believe I know? This ‘I’ know attitude blocks one from realizing the truth, which is beyond the form, time, and space.
First, the seeker has to investigate ‘what is this ‘I’ supposed to be?”
Everyone says they know everything and all the facts. “No-one stops to doubt or to understand, or to inquire as to ‘what is the fact?’ or ‘what is the definition of experience?’.
The ignorant take the simplest path, that of the uninquiring mind, because the other way, the search for truth, is hard and difficult, and laborious. the religionist, yogis, and the common people do not worry about finding the truth of their true existence. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

There is no need to take sanyasa and renounce worldly life in order to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.+

There is no need to take sanyasa and renounce worldly life to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana. All the guru-propagated knowledge is not  Advaitic Gnana of Sage Sankara.
All guru-propagated knowledge is meant for the ignorant populace. If you are stuck up with religion and yoga you are unfit to tread the Atmic path.
If you are seeking the truth of your true existence then you must set yourself free of religious background and cultures, of all accumulated should be discarded.
The seeker has to have the courage to accept the truth and reject the untruth because most people will not be able to subscribe to the path of truth, because, they are sentimentally and emotionally involved with their inherited belief system, and even if one does he has to overcome all his doubts, confusion, and despair. These are problems for the seekers who are from a religious background because of their conditioning and they are made to accept their blind belief as truth and their interest or insight is not deep.
Thus, all my blogs are useful in analyzing these problems because they highlight what is not the truth according to their own religious scriptures and make them accept the truth reject all the false conditioning, and move ahead in the pursuit of truth.
Religious and yogic paths are not the Gnanic path or the Atmic path. Never mix religious and yogic ideas in the Atmic path.
The Guru and Disciple concept is meant for the religious and yogic path. In the Atmic path, the Guru and Disciple concepts have no value.
A person who realizes the ultimate truth or Brahman will throw off his religious robe and all religious identity and live like a commoner. He never identifies himself as Gnani nor does he identify himself as superior to others. He only shares his knowledge with fellow seekers.

Remember:~
A Gnani never identifies himself as a Guru or a Yogi or someone disciple. The one who accepts himself as a Guru or someone’s disciple is not a Gnani.
Sage Sri, Sankara says - VC-162- There is no liberation for a person of mere book-knowledge, howsoever well-read in the philosophy of Vedanta, so long as one does not give up the false identification with the body, sense-organs, etc., which are unreal.
The Gurus, yogis identify themselves with their body and sense-organs which are illusory.
The Guru and disciple and the world in which Guru and disciple exist are created out of single stuff. That single stuff is consciousness. The consciousness is the ultimate truth of Brahman.
Identifying as a Guru or some Guru’s disciple keeps one in the cage of ignorance. A person who identifies himself as a Guru or disciple will never be able to get Advaitic Gnana.
The Guru and disciple and the world in which Guru and disciple exist are created out of single stuff. That single stuff is consciousness. The consciousness is the ultimate truth of Brahman.
Ashtavakra Samhita: ~ "The man of knowledge (Gnani), though living like an ordinary man, is contrary to him, and only those like him understand his state.
A Gnani can point at the sky, but the seeing of the star is the seeker's own work.
The truth-seeker seeks only truth. The inner Sage will guide you with love. Your sincerity and seriousness lead you to your inner core. Sincere and serious seekers are not excluded.
All the chosen ones will get freedom from experiencing the illusion (duality) as a reality. All the seekers of truth are chosen ones.
Katha Upanishads: ~ This Atman is attained by him alone whom It chooses. To such a one Atman reveals Its own form. ( II -23-P-20)
All the chosen ones will get freedom from experiencing the illusion (duality) as a reality. All the seekers of truth are chosen ones.
Sage Sri, Sankara: ~ "Though I wear these robes of a Sanyasin, it is only for the sake of bread." (Select Works of Sage Sri, Sankara" also his commentary on Brihad)
Thus, the above passage proves that all those who wear the sanyasin robes are wearing them for the sake of bread belong to the religion; they have nothing to do with Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.
There is no need to criticize and condemn the Gurus, yogis, and swamis because they are needed for the welfare of the ignorant masses in the dualistic world.
Sage Sankara says the transparent Truth of the Self, which is hidden by the illusion, is to be attained through the instructions of a knower of Brahman, (Gnani)
~ Then why you are sticking a Guru who is not a Gnani.
That is why Swami Vivekananda said: ~ “You have to grow from the inside out. None can teach you, none can make you spiritual. There is no other teacher, but your own Soul.”
Yogis and Gurus are not Gods.
This idea of worshiping Guru as God is not a Vedic idea but adopted from Jainism and Buddhism.
Vedas bar human worship: ~
"They are enveloped in darkness, in other words, are steeped in ignorance and sunk in the greatest depths of misery who worship the uncreated, eternal prakrti -- the material cause of the world -- in place of the All-pervading God, But those who worship visible things born of the prakrti, such as the earth, trees, bodies (human and the like) in place of God are enveloped in still greater darkness, in other words, they are extremely foolish, fall into an awful hell of pain and sorrow, and suffer terribly for a long time.":~ (Yajur Veda 40:9.)
Then why worship and glorify the Gurus and Yogis (human form) in place of God when Veda bars such activities and also warns people who indulge in such activities are enveloped in still greater darkness, in other words, they are extremely foolish, fall into an awful hell of pain and sorrow, and suffer terribly for a long time.
No one has ever seen God by practicing religion or yoga or indulging in glorifying the religious God and Goddesses because God exists prior to the form, time, and space. The form, time, and space cease to exist as a reality when wisdom dawns. Thus, the Gods and Gurus have no place in the domain of the Advaitic reality. Advaita is the nature of the Soul, which is the real God. Thus, Self-realization is the only way to God-realization.
By worshipping the religious Gods and Guru, one will not get Self-realization or God-realization.
The Soul, the inner Guru reveals ‘what is real’ and ‘what is unreal” when the seeker is receptive and ready. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

Religious Gods are not the God in truth. One must realize God in truth.+

A Hindu thinks of God from a Hindu perspective believes what he believes about his God is the ultimate truth.

A Christian thinks of God from a Christian perspective believes what he believes about his God is the ultimate truth.

A Mohammedan thinks of God from Mohammedan's perspective believes what he believes about his God is the ultimate truth.

Religious Gods are not God in truth. One must realize  God in truth.

The Bible says: ~ “God is a Spirit, and they that worship God  must worship God  in spirit and in truth (John 4:24)”,

The Spirit is the root element of the universe. The Spirit is present in the form of the Soul, the innermost Self. The Soul is present in the form of consciousness. From the Spirit, the universe comes into existence. In the Spirit, the universe resides. And into the Spirit, the universe is dissolved. The Spirit is the parent of all that is there is.

In Vedas, God has been described as:~

Rig Veda: ~ 'Prajnanam Brahma'- Consciousness is the ultimate reality, or Brahman, or God in truth.
Do not accept any other truth other than consciousness. Consciousness is the ultimate truth. Nothing is real but consciousness.
Realize consciousness as the ultimate truth, or Brahman, or God in truth. Consciousness is everywhere and in everything. Let these words be inscribed in your subconscious.

Rig Veda: ~ The Atman (Soul or Spirit) is the cause; Atman is the support of all that exists in this universe. May ye never turn away from the Atman the innermost ‘Self’. May ye never accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman?" (10:48, 5)

Yajur Veda – chapter- 32: - God is Supreme Spirit has no ‘Pratima’ (idol) or material shape. He cannot be seen directly by anyone. He pervades all beings and all directions.

Thus,   Idolatry does not find any support from the Vedas.

The Vedas as a body of scripture contains many contradictions and they are fragmentary in nature. For Hindus, scriptures like the Bhagavad-Gita, Ramayana, Mahabharata, and Puranas are more attractive and appealing than the Vedas. And also the Gods and Goddesses they worship differ considerably from the Vedic ones. The collection of hymns called Vedas are written in praise of certain deities by poets over several centuries does not seem to have much significance for the Hindus

Yajur Veda says: ~

Translation 1

They enter darkness, those who worship natural things (for example air, water, sun, moon, animals, fire, stone, etc.)

They sink deeper in darkness those who worship sambhuti. (Sambhuti means created things, for example, table, chair, idol, etc.) (Yajurveda 40:9)

Translation 2

"Deep into the shade of blinding gloom fall asambhuti's worshippers. They sink to darkness deeper yet who on sambhuti are intent." (Yajurveda Samhita by Ralph T. H. Griffith pg. 538)

Translation 3.

"They are enveloped in darkness, in other words, are steeped in ignorance and sunk in the greatest depths of misery who worship the uncreated, eternal prakrti -- the material cause of the world -- in place of the All-pervading God, But those who worship visible things born of the prakrti, such as the earth, trees, bodies (human and the like) in place of God are enveloped in still greater darkness, in other words, they are extremely foolish, fall into an awful hell of pain and sorrow, and suffer terribly for a long time." (Yajur Veda 40:9.)

So, Yajur Veda indicates that: ~

They sink deeper in darkness those who worship sambhuti. (Sambhuti means created things, for example, table, chair, idol etc (Yajurveda 40:9)

Those who worship visible things born of the prakrti, such as the earth, trees, bodies (human and the like) in place of God are enveloped in still greater darkness, in other words, they are extremely foolish, fall into an awful hell of pain and sorrow, and suffer terribly for a long time." (Yajur Veda 40:9.)

Than why to worship and glorify the non-~Vedic Gods  in place of  Vedic God when Veda bars such activities and it also warns people who indulge in such activities are enveloped in still greater darkness, in other words, they are extremely foolish, fall into an awful hell of pain and sorrow, and suffer terribly for a long time.
The distinctive characteristics of the Hindu belief system cannot be traced in the Vedic literature. Besides, although the Vedas are revered as sacred texts, there are many people in India who do not know what ‘belief in the Vedas’ means. In most cases, the acquaintance of the Hindus with the Vedas is limited to the few hymns that are recited in temples and household liturgies.

Hindu idol or deity or temple is nothing to do with the Vedic religion. Vedic people ate beef. The Hindu practices of idol worship and temple worship ban on beef eating introduced many centuries later.
