The ‘Self’ is not the ‘I’ but the ‘Self is the Soul, which is present in the form of the consciousness.+

The ‘Self’ is not the ‘I’ but the ‘Self is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. The Soul, the Self is the witness of the 'I', which appears and disappears.

All the ‘I-centric’ Gurus and their teachings are a great obstacle to unfolding the truth hidden by the ‘I’. The ‘I’ itself is ignorance.

Until you hold the ‘I-centric knowledge as a yardstick you will not be able to assimilate Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.

What is it that appears as the ‘I’ and disappears as the ‘I-less? It is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.

Do not make the mistake of holding the ‘I’ as the Self because it is not permanent. ‘I’ disappears and becomes ‘I’-less-Soul.

Bhagavad Gita: ~ “You must first see the ‘I’ as illusory before you see others as illusory. ~ CH.2 v.16

As the seeker becomes more and more Soulcentric, he realizes the fact that the ‘Self is not ‘I’ but the ‘Self’ is the Soul, which is hidden by the ‘I’.  From the standpoint of the Soul, the ‘I’ is merely an illusion created out of the Soul. The seeker must realize, what is ‘I’? - supposed to be in actuality.

The ‘I’ is present only when the mind is present. Without the ‘I’ the mind ceases to exist.

The mind is present when the universe is present. Without the mind, the universe ceases to exist.

The universe is present only when the waking is present. Without the universe, the waking ceases to exist.

So, without the ‘I’ the mind or universe or the waking ceases to exist.

From the standpoint of the Soul is the  ‘Self’, the ‘I’ the mind or universe or the waking cease exists as a reality.

The Soul is the   ‘Self’ and can remain with or without the ‘I’. Slowly but surely you must imbibe the truth, which is beyond form, time, and space by realizing that form, time and space are one in essence.

When you enthrone the Soul, which is present in the form of the consciousness in your subconscious, you will realize the world in which you exist is merely an illusory play of consciousness.

Consciousness is ‘One’, and all divisions of the form, time, and space are an illusion created out of the Soul,, the Self, which is present in the form of consciousness.

Maya:

Maya or illusion is the most important contribution of Sage Sankara. Maya or illusion is the complex illusionary power of the Atman (Soul), which is present in the form of consciousness. Consciousness is the ultimate reality or Brahman.

Ignorance is the cause of experiencing duality as reality. Maya or illusion is present in the form of the mind. And the mind is in the form of the universe. The universe appears as the waking or dreams (duality) and disappears as deep sleep (Nonduality).

The waking experience is a reality from the standpoint of the waking entity (ego). Waking experience is an illusion from the standpoint of the formless Soul, the  Self.

The shelter of the three states is consciousness (Brahman) but consciousness itself is untouched by the profanity of illusion (Maya). Illusion (Maya) is temporary and is destroyed with "Self- knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana ". :~Santthosh Kumaar
