Some of the so-called Gurus hold the ‘I’ as the center, and they think ‘I’ is bodiless and they imagine the truth, which makes them hallucinate. And also they mix all religions, yoga, and scriptures citation and make a good cocktail with their ornamental words. What is the use of following such teaching which makes you hallucinate?
First, know ‘what is the truth. When the subconscious accepts the truth, which is formless, timeless, and spaceless existence it will start discarding the truth based on form, time, and space. The subconscious needs a yardstick to analyze ‘what is the truth and ‘what is the untruth, then only it is possible for it to discard ‘what is not the truth.
Some Guru propagates: ~ Consciousness is alone. There is no second here, no other. ”Just close your eyes” you can see God.
Such half-baked knowledge is hearsay knowledge, not Advaitic wisdom. Such half-baked dualistic knowledge gathered from different sources is not the Advaitic wisdom of Sage Sankara.
Remember this: ~
First, know what this God is supposed to be in actuality.
If consciousness alone then what is the use of closing the eyes. One seeker must realize his body, his eyes, and the world in which he exists, as consciousness.
People think that there is God and that the jivas--Souls-like like them form the second, other than them. There is no such duality at all.
Ignorance is the cause of the ‘I’.
The duality is present in the form of the ‘I’.
The ‘I’ is present in the form of the mind.
The Mind is present in the form of the universe.
The universe appears as a waking or dream (duality) and disappears as deep sleep (non-duality).
The formless substance and witness of the appearance and disappearance of the ‘I’ is the formless Soul.
The Soul is present in the form of consciousness. Consciousness is the ultimate truth because the mind, which is present in the form of the universe, ceases to exist without consciousness. Thus, consciousness is the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth.
The seeker has to make sure what is this ‘I’ supposed to be? The seeker has to make sure of the unreal nature of the ‘I’ which comes and goes in order to realize the truth, which is beyond form, time, and space.
That is why Bhagavad Gita: ~ “The permanent is always there, only the transient ‘I’ comes and goes. (2.18)
The ‘I’ hides the Soul, the Self, which is present in the form of consciousness, Consciousness is the cause of the illusory universe.
People think the ‘I’ without the body is the Self. The seeker has to understand the fact that ‘I’ is not the Self, but the witness of the ‘I’ is the true Self, which is eternal.
That is why Ashtavakra Gita 16:10:~ If you desire liberation, but you still say "I," If you feel the ‘Self’ is the ‘I’, You are not a wise man or a seeker. You are simply a man who suffers.:~Santthosh Kumaar
