The seeker has to realize his 'I know' attitude is blocking him from realizing the truth hidden by the ignorance.+

For ignorant without a proper understanding, it is impossible to realize the non-dualistic or Advaitic truth.  Advaita means there is no second thing that exists other than consciousness.

The seeker has to realize his 'I know' attitude is blocking him from realizing the truth hidden by ignorance. All his accumulated knowledge accumulated from different sources is merely mental garbage.

Unless he drops all his accumulated knowledge it is impossible to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.

First Mundaka - Chapter 2 (8):~  Fools, dwelling in darkness, but wise in their own conceit and puffed up with vain scholarship, wander about, being afflicted by many ills, like blind men led by the blind.

If you think the ‘Self’ is within your body then you will never be able to realize the ‘Self’, which is hidden by the illusory form, time, and space.
The Self is not you but the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.  The Soul, the  Self is the cause of the world in which you exist and it, itself is uncaused.
The world in which you exist is nothing but the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. Thus the ‘Self is not limited to you but it pervades the whole world in which you exist.
From the standpoint of the Soul, the Self, the world in which you exist is merely an illusion created out of consciousness. Thus, consciousness alone is real and eternal.
Sage Sankara: ~ VC~ All this universe which through ignorance appears as of diverse forms, is nothing else but Brahman (consciousness), which is absolutely free from all the limitations of human thought.

The seeker has to mentally rectify his reasoning base from the ego to the Soul to get a perfect understanding and assimilation of ‘what is what’,  to realize ‘what is the truth’? and ‘What is untruth?’.

The egocentric reasoning is helpful only in practical life within the practical world. Soulcentric reasoning is necessary to unfold the truth, which is hidden within the form, time, and space but it is beyond the form, time, and space.

Deeper Self-search reveals the fact that the ‘Self’ is not you but the Self is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.

If the ‘Self’ is not you but the Self is the ‘Soul’ then it is erroneous to judge the truth on the base of you.

Whatever is based on you is egocentric truth whereas the truth is based on the Soul, the  Self. Therefore to realize the Soulcentric truth, Soulcentric reasoning is very much necessary.

Mentally reducing the universe as the waking and waking as the mind and mind as consciousness leads to Self-awareness.  The universe, the waking, and the mind are one and the same thing.

Without the mind, the universe ceases to exist. Without the universe, the waking ceases to exist.  Without the Soul or consciousness, the mind, the universe, and the waking cease to exist.
A perfect understanding of 'what is what' is very much necessary to realize the formless, timeless, and spaceless truth. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar
