Meditation is the total negation of ignorance, which is present in the form of the ‘I’.+

Meditation is not focusing the attention on the ‘I but shifting the attention from the 'I' to the Soul, the Self, which is hidden by the 'I'.
The ‘I’ is not limited to the ego because the ‘I’ is the whole universe. The ‘I’ is ignorance. Meditation is the total negation of ignorance, which is present in the form of the ‘I’.
Only in ignorance, there is conflict. There is no conflict in the nature of the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.
The Soul is ever free and is totally free from conflict. All the conflicts belong to the dualistic illusion.
Ignorance is the cause of form, time, and space without ignorance then there is no division of form, time, and space in consciousness. The nature of the ‘Self’ is the fullness of consciousness.
Through the practice of Yogic Samadhi and meditation, ignorance will not vanish.   Without Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana, ignorance will not vanish.  Without getting rid of ignorance of the world in which you exist prevails as a reality.
Sage Sankara said:-Neither by the practice of yoga nor philosophy, nor by good works nor by learning, does liberation come, but only through the realization that Atman and Brahman are one in no other way. (1) Vivekachoodamani v 56, pg~25
Mundaka Upanishad condemns rituals.  The Para or Higher knowledge is the knowledge of the Supreme Being while the Apara or Lower Knowledge is that of following sacrificial rites and ceremonies. (1/2/ 1 – 6)
Chandogya Upanishad: ~ One who meditates upon and realizes the 'Self' discovers that everything in the cosmos-- energy and space, fire and water, name and form, birth and death, mind and will, word and deed, mantrams and meditation--all come from the Self.

People dip into meditation, but they do not understand that that is only one half of the truth and that this dipping is also a mental discipline for them to understand the true nature of the external universe, which understanding they must next get if they are to become a Gnani.

Ashtavakra says:~ "This is your bondage, that you practice Samadhi or meditation.”

For meditation, one need not sit and chant God's name or concentrate on some object.  Anything you do will not be meditation.  If there is a doer then it is not meditation.  As long as there is doing, there is ignorance. As long as the doer is present, the ego is present.  If the ego is present the whole world is present.  If the world is present the duality is present. If the duality is present then there is an illusion.  If the illusion is present birth, life, death, and the world are experienced as a reality.

Bhagavan Buddha gave up his austerities of yoga as impossible and useless. (Page.70/71 "Buddhism in Translation” by Warren)
Thus, Buddha got enlightenment only after he gave up Yoga. Unless one exercises his reason--there is no chance of getting the truth.
Remember:~
Meher Baba: ~ ‘Meditation has often been misunderstood as a mechanical process of forcing the mind upon some idea or object.

Meditation is not Advaitic wisdom. Meditation is not a means to find the truth hidden by form, time, and space. Without realizing the ‘Self 'is not you but the Self is the Soul all the effort used in the meditation leads to hallucination and thoughtlessness. Thoughtlessness is not wisdom. by ending the thoughts you may get peace, not Advaitic wisdom.

Ashtavakra says: ~ “This is your bondage, that you practice Samadhi or meditation.”

Meditation is a progressive step and there is no need to condemn them. Religion and yoga are not the ends, for they can never directly lead to Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana. All other teachings and practices other than self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana are for beginners only. There are stages in comprehending the truth.

Meditation always means the critical analysis of the Self to get rid of ignorance. Ignorance will not vanish by reaming without thoughts or focusing attention on some object.

Sage Sankara says ~ “The exercise in discrimination between real and unreal and renunciation of the false is real meditation, then why you are indulging in other types of meditation.

Remember:~

Until a man is ripe to receive Self-knowledge, it is fatal to ask him to give up meditation.

The novice seekers must understand that yoga is all right in its place and that it is good at the beginning of the pursuit of truth, but when yoga is made ends in itself and not means to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.

Yoga and meditation are not useless, they are useful to bring the restless ego under control. Yoga and meditation are not final. Indulging in yoga and meditation will lead not lead to the ultimate end of understanding. Yoga cannot remove ignorance. It is only a step. It removes obstructions.

The Atmic path is nothing to do with religion and the yogic path. The Atmic path is the path of wisdom. All your accumulated knowledge is nothing to do with the Atmic path.

The Atmic path is not a path of discussion or exchange of views and opinions but the direct realization of the 'Self' hidden by the dualistic illusion.

The seeker must have the patience to open the blogs and posting and read. It will not only help you to clear all your cobweb of doubts and confusion. Without reading the blogs trying to argue on your own yardstick, is not of any use.

Whatever you have read, whatever you have heard and accumulated becomes a hindrance in realizing the truth, which is beyond form, time, and space.

All your egocentric accumulated cocktail knowledge is not Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana. Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana soulcentric knowledge is not available in the spiritual supermarket.

All accumulated knowledge is mental Garbage is no use in the quest for truth. The seeker has to discard all the accumulated knowledge and start afresh.

Reading and reflecting on my blogs and postings gradually, the seekers will start assimilating and realizing ‘what is the truth and what the untruth is.

Repeated reading of my blogs and postings makes the seeker Soulcentric and the inner dialogue will start and clear all the doubts and confusion. :~Santthosh Kumaar
