The ‘Self’ does not reside in the human heart, and one will not find the ‘Self’ in the human heart if he searches for it. The Self is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.
Consciousness pervades everything and everywhere in the world in which we exist. Limiting the ‘Self’ to the human heart is erroneous. The 'Self' is not within the human heart.
The truth is not a belief propagated by religion and yoga. All the head and heart businesses belong to religion and yoga. religion and yoga are nothing to do with spirituality or Adyathma.
The Soul is the spiritual heart. The Soul is Self-evident. It is not established by extraneous proof. It is not possible to deny the Soul, because It is the very essence of the one who denies It.
The Soul is the basis of all kinds of knowledge, presuppositions, and proofs. The Soul, the Self is hidden by the 'I' (universe) the Soul, the Self is without the "I' (universe).
The Soul pervades everywhere and in everything in the universe because the universe is nothing but a dualistic illusion created out of the Soul or consciousness. Thus, the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness, is the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth.
Tattireya Upanishad: ~ “The Self in man and in the sun is one. Those who understand this see through the world and go beyond the various sheaths of being to realize the unity of life”.
Holding the ‘I’ as the ‘Self’ is the main mistake. People refuse to rectify the mistake because they are sentimentally attached to their Gurus and their teaching. Such people are like stagnant water in a dirty pond. Rectifying the mistake will unfold the mystery of the whole world.
The sun is simply bright. It does not correct anyone. Because it shines the whole world is full of light. The Soul is the fullness of consciousness. The universe exists because of the Soul. Without the universe the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness alone exists. The universe is merely an illusion created out of consciousness. Realize that consciousness is the cause of the universe and it itself is uncaused.
Ashtavakra Gita: ~ “The universe rises from the ‘Self’ like bubbles from the sea. Thus, know the Self to be One and in this way enter into the state of dissolution."
Rig Veda: ~ The Atman is the cause; Atman is the support of all that exists in this universe. May ye never turn away from the Atman, the Self. May ye never accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman?"
Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana frees the Soul from the cage of the illusory form, time, and space.
Due to ignorance, the Soul, the Self is in forgetfulness of its own true nature in the dualistic illusion. When the Soul wakes up from its sleep of ignorance, the unreal nature of the world, in which you exist, is exposed.
Remember
The ‘Self’ does not reside in the human heart, and one will not find the ‘Self’ in the human heart if he searches for it.
The Self is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. Consciousness pervades everything and everywhere in the world in which we exist.
Limiting the ‘Self’ to the human heart is erroneous. The truth is not a belief propagated by religion.
You are limited to form, time, and space. You are not the ‘Self ‘because you are bound by birth, life, death, and the world whereas the Soul, the innermost Self is limitless because it is a formless, timeless, and spaceless existence.
Until you think ‘I’ as the Self the Soul will remain in the cage of the dualistic illusion. The Soul, the innermost Self, is the fullness of consciousness without the division of form, time, and space.

Sage Raman Maharishi: ~ He placed his right hand on his right breast and continued, "Here lies the Heart, the dynamic, spiritual Heart. It is called Hridaya and is located on the right side of the chest and is clearly visible to the inner eye of an adept on the spiritual path. Through meditation, you can learn to find the Self in the cave of this Heart." ~ Mercedes de Acosta, Here Lies the Heart
Santthosh Kumaar: ~ ‘The spiritual heart is the Soul, the Self, not the physical heart. The world in which you exist is within the Soul, the spiritual heart. Mistaking the spiritual heart within the body is a great error. Even some Advaitic Guru says that the Self is within the spiritual heart. And the spiritual heart is on the left side. Such a statement is merely an imagination, based on the false self. When the ‘Self’ is bodiless, then the question of the heart being left side or right side does not arise.
The Seeker must realize the Soul, the Self, itself is the spiritual heart. The Soul, the spiritual heart is ever formless. The Soul itself is the spiritual heart that is present in the form of the Spirit or consciousness.
Remember:~
The Gurus who speak of head and heart are still in the elementary stage.
The Self is not within the human heart. The world in which you exist hides the Soul, which is the Spiritual heart. Those who are stuck up with heads and hearts will not be able to unfold the mystery of their true existence.
When you realize the Self is not the body then the question of the Self is within the heart does not arise. The poets use the word heart to indicate the center of existence.
When the whole universe is created out of the Soul, the Self, which is present in the form of consciousness still you are thinking the Self is within the human heart you are not a wise seeker.
Those Gurus who indulge in head and heart-games keep you in the prison of emotions. The emotion belongs to ignorance. Some gurus propagate the Nadi you refer to is called Amrita Nadi. It connects the Spiritual Heart with the Sahasrara. It is best to merge in the Heart and then see that the Heart is beyond time and space.
Remember:~
When the ‘Self’ is not the body then the question of the Nadi or Amrita Nadi or Sahasrara does not arise. Until we think the ‘Self’ is within the body it is impossible to cross the threshold of dualistic illusion. Deeper self-search reveals the fact that the ‘Self’ is not the body why bring Nadi, and chakras when they are part and parcel of the body.
Deeper self-search reveals the fact that the ‘Self’ is neither the body nor the ‘I’. Thus, one has to go beyond the ‘I’ means beyond the form, time, and space.:~Santthosh Kumaar
