If one thinks the Guru and yogis will transmit Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana to him, is fool dwelling in darkness.+

People do not want to work persevering for the truth beyond the form, time and space. They expect to enlightenment instantly. Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana cannot be acquired so easily. Most people lack the patience and perseverance in investigating the truth, beyond the form, time and space.

People assume  Guru or Godmen are great because other people say so, or that he is wise because he himself says so, or that what he teaches is true because it attracts them. Such an attitude and easy assumptions become an obstacle to fold the truth and it requires some trouble to put into effect.

The Gurudom may succeed to a limited extent in the West by appealing to the emotions of western people by creating a new cult with diverse theories of Hinduism.   The ultimate truth is beyond religion, yoga, and scriptures.

The worship or glorifying Gurus does not free one from ignorance

In the olden days, men were primitive in their thought so that a man having little knowledge was considered a genius. Nowadays our knowledge is so advanced that the genius of those days would be an ordinary man of today. Therefore if one finds the truth, free his -Self from the tyranny of environment and tradition, not by condemning them but by examining and testing them by deeper  Self-search o find out whether they be true or not. Accept nothing on the authority of a Godmen or genius of the past or present but only if it proves true after the examination.  Sticking to physical Guru or yogi sentimentally and emotionally will block Self- realization. No Guru can transmit wisdom to you. You have to do your own homework.

The like-minded people are always willing to examine facts and judge them calmly whereas the religious scholars and intellectuals will be immune to all facts and hold hard to their delusions. Such people do not want the truth but only what pleases them. This is because of their egocentric attitude.  Their attitude is “What pleases them is the truth, what they dislike is false.

The worship or glorifying Gurus does not free one from ignorance. The rewards are none to them, the reward achieved in their lives are of consequence and not the result of worshiping and glorifying the Gurus.

People always need some sort of hope when their minds are not yet enlightened. "Self is closer to man than his own veins." "With the Self- Knowledge, one will begin to know the ultimate truth, so as to finally realize the fact that, the Self is not the form and becomes conscious that the ‘Self’ is the ‘Spirit’.

Most people lack the patience and perseverance in investigating and collecting all the data before judging: hence they assume Guru are Godmen are great because other people say so, or that he is wise because he himself says so, or that what he teaches is true because it attracts them. Such an   attitude and easy assumptions become an obstacle to fold the truth and it requires some trouble to put into effect
People are struggling to get self-realization to go round and round, by various tortuous paths, like the blind led by the blind.

If one thinks the Guru and yogis will transmit Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana to him, is fool dwelling in darkness.

Yoga Vasistha:~  "Teachers, interpretations of sacred texts, the force of religious merit--none of these lead to the realization of that Ultimate Truth which is revealed in the clear reflection of the heart, engendered from contact with the good."

The seeker should not bother about finding the meaning of what is written in the scriptures.  The scripters are not necessary to realize the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth.

The scriptures are meant for the ignorant populace. Scriptures have no value for the seeker of truth.

When you realize your body and the world in which you exist is merely an illusion created out of consciousness then there is nothing more to realize. The consciousness is the only stuff that is real in this unreal universe.

Chandogya Upanishads: ~ “This universe comes forth from Brahman (consciousness) and will return to Brahman. Verily, all is Brahman. A person is what his deep desire is. It is our deepest desire in this life that shapes the life to come. So let us direct our deepest desires to realize the ‘Self'.

Bhagvan Buddha: ~” There are only two mistakes one can make along the road to truth: not going all the way... and not starting.

That is why Swami Vivekananda said: ~   “You have to grow from the inside out. None can teach you, none can make you spiritual. There is no other teacher, but your own Soul.”

Until you hold the ‘‘Self’ ‘as the ‘I’ you will never be able to get Self-realization.  ‘I’ hides the Soul, which is the ‘Self’.

Bhagavad Gita: ~ “You must first see the ‘I’ as illusory before you see others as illusory. ~ CH.2 v.16

Know what this ‘I’ first.  Without realizing what this ‘I’ supposed to be it is impossible for the Soul to free itself’ from the dualistic illusion.

The ‘I’ hides the truth of the whole. The ‘I’ hides the truth.

I’ is ignorance.

‘I’ is the duality.

‘I’ is the form, time and space.

‘I’ is the universe.

‘I’ is the waking.

‘I’ is the dream.

‘I’ is the illusion.

‘I’ is the experience of birth, life, death, and the world.

Remember:~

Without the ‘I’ there is no ignorance.

Without the ‘I’ there is no duality.

Without the ‘I’ there is no form, time, and space.

Without the ‘I’ there is no universe.

Without the ‘I’ there is no waking.

Without the ‘I’ there is no dream.

Without the ‘I’ there is no illusion.

Without the ‘I’ there is no experience of birth, life, death, and the world.

That is why Ashtavakra Gita 16:10:~ If you desire liberation, but you still say ‘I', if you feel the ‘‘Self’’ is the ‘I’, you are not a wise man or a seeker. You are simply a man who suffers.

Bhagavad Gita: ~ The permanent is always there, only the transient ‘I’ comes and goes.” (2.18)

Buddha: ~” There are only two mistakes one can make along the road to truth: not going all the way... and not starting.

When the Advaitic wisdom dawns then this ‘I’ which you think as reality becomes unreal.  It is time to discard the ‘I’. Never use the word the ‘I’ or I AM for the ‘Self’.   : ~ Santthosh Kumaar
