Religion is the cause of the diversity in unity whereas the Spirituality brings unity in diversity.+

Religion causes one to become crippled, Self-mortifying and Self-deprecating is not a religion, but the social system of controlling the populace through psychological deformation and retardation.
One can think only within the waking experience. Therefore, even if one stops thinking he still remains a man without the thoughts. The thoughts will not form without form, feeling, perception mental formation, and consciousness. If one of these things is not there, then the thoughts will not form.
The thoughts will not stop until one becomes aware of the fact that, the Self is formless. It is impossible to get rid of the form without understanding ‘What is the mind?  and ‘What is the substance of the mind? ‘What is the source of the mind?
The invisible Soul, the ‘Self’, when known becomes an object. The Soul, when realized, then becomes consciousness. This is the distinction between knowing and realizing.   Do not mix religion with Spirituality. Spirituality is universal whereas religion is limited to the individual. Religion is the cause of diversity in unity whereas Spirituality brings unity in diversity.
Sage Sankara, indicated in Bhaja Govindam: ~ (Jnana Viheena Sarva Mathena Bajathi na Muktim janma Shatena) - one without knowledge does not obtain liberation even in a hundred births, no matter which religious faith he follows.
Many believe spirituality and religion are considered interconnected but it is not so. Religion is based on the false Self-(ego or body or you) and it is limited to the false experience (universe) while spirituality transcends race, religion, gender, language, and nationality the universe. Spirituality is based on the Soul the Self. From the standpoint of the Soul the innermost Self, the universe in which we exist is merely an illusion:
The Bible says: ~ God is a Spirit, and they that worship God must worship God in spirit and in truth. (John 4:24)
The Spirit is the root element of the universe. The Spirit is present in the form of the Soul, the innermost Self. The Soul is present in the form of consciousness. From the Spirit, the universe comes into existence. In the Spirit, the universe resides. And into the Spirit, the universe is dissolved. The Spirit is the parent of all that is there is.
Knowledge of  God is Self-knowledge or Knowledge of the Spirit or Knowledge of God or the ultimate truth.
Jesus said: ~ “Do not throw your pearls before pigs, lest they trample them underfoot and turn to attack you. (Matthew -7:6)
~ Jesus meant ~ Knowledge of Christ is Self-knowledge or knowledge of the Spirit or knowledge of God or the ultimate truth.
God in truth is not physical but God in truth is the Spirit.   Know God in truth that truth will set the 'Self' free from the dualistic illusion (universe).
Jesus said:~"Those who seek should not stop seeking until they find. When they find, they will be disturbed. When they are disturbed, they will marvel, and will reign over all." (Gospel of Thomas 2)
1. Jesus said: ~Whoever discovers the interpretation of these sayings will not taste death." (Jesus spoke and Didymos Judas Thomas recorded)
3. Jesus said:~ "If your leaders say to you, 'Look, the (Father's) kingdom is in the sky,' then the birds of the sky will precede you. If they say to you, 'It is in the sea,' then the fish will precede you. Rather, the (Father's) kingdom is within you and it is outside you. (Jesus spoke and Didymos Judas Thomas recorded)
5. Jesus said:~ "Know what is in front of your face, and what is hidden from you will be disclosed to you.
For there is nothing hidden that will not be revealed. [And there is nothing buried that will not be raised.]" (Jesus spoke and Didymos Judas Thomas recorded)
Gospel Thomas logian 22:~ “Jesus saw infants being suckled. He said to his disciples, “These infants being suckled are like those who enter the kingdom.”
They said to him, “Shall we then, as children, enter the kingdom?”
Jesus’s version of Advaita:~ Jesus said to them, “When you make the two one, and when you make the inside like the outside and the outside like the inside, and the above like the below, and when you make the male and the female one and the same so that the male not be male nor the female is female; and when you fashion eyes in the place of an eye, and a hand in place of a hand, and a foot in place of a foot, and a likeness in place of a likeness; then will you enter the kingdom.”
Santthosh Kumaar: ~ “When one realizes mind (matter) and Soul (Spirit), the  'Self' is one in essence then there is no place for the duality. Without duality, the universe ceases to exist as a reality.
Without the universe, your existence within the universe is merely an illusion. There is scope for two because everything is created out of a single stuff. That single stuff is consciousness or Spirit.
The Spirit is Christ, God. God is the fullness of the Spirit without the division of form, time, and space. Thus, God is nothing but the ultimate truth of Brahman.
Thus, Spirit, God is Advaita.
Remember:~
Religious Gods are not God in truth. The Bible says “God is a Spirit, and they that worship God must worship God in Spirit and in Truth. Rig Veda says may ye never accept another God in place of the Atman (Spirit) nor worship other than the Atman.

What is the use of arguing with religious believers?  They think what they know as the ultimate truth.
Whatever is real in the world in which we exist is God. All that is real in the world in which we exist is the Soul, the Self.
Thus, by realizing the Self, which is the Soul, we discover the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness itself is God in truth, which is hidden by the ‘I’, which is the dualistic illusion.
Even The Bhagavad Gita says: ~ Brahmano hi pratisthaham ~ Brahman (God) is considered the all-pervading consciousness, which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material. (14.27).
When Bhagavad Gita says, God is considered the all-pervading consciousness which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material then nothing has to be accepted as God other than consciousness.

Even Brihadaranyaka Upanishad: ~ Brahman (God in truth) is in the form of the Athma, and it is indeed Athma itself.

Even Rig Veda: ~ The Atman is the cause; Atman is the support of all that exists in this universe. May ye never turn away from the Atman, the Self. May ye never accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman?" (10:48, 5)

Those who indulge in a perverted argument from their own standpoint and opinion are not seeking the truth, which is beyond form, time, and space.  They just want to exhibit their accumulated knowledge accumulated from here and there.  They think what they know is the ultimate truth.
They think whatever they propagate is the ultimate truth. The question never occurs to them, “Is what I know is really the truth?
Spirituality has nothing to do with religion. Spirituality is based on the Spirit, the real God whereas religion is based on the false self within the false experience.  : ~Santthosh Kumaar
