Sage Sankara says:- Everything is Truly Brahman and nothing else has any value.+

In fact, Sage Sankara states a paradox- the world is and is not. It is neither real nor unreal. It leads us to recognize the existence of Maya (illusion).

Sage  Sankara thinks that the world is illusory from one perspective and from the second it is nothing but Brahman(God in truth), Itself in manifestation. This apparent world is Maya and has its basis in Brahman, the Eternal. It looks as real. It has names and forms and actually, it is not real In the light of true knowledge, it disappears and Self-alone shines as real. However, Sage Sankara's Mayavada has not been accepted by many preachers and philosophers.

When Sage Sankara says clearly, the universe is not real. He says that Brahman and Atman are one. The ultimate and the Absolute Truth is the Self, which is one though appearing as many in different individuals. The individual has no reality. Only the Soul, the  Self is Real; the rest, mental and physical are but passing appearances, then it indicates the form (waking or duality or mind) is unreal and the invisible Soul is real.  Therefore, only the Soul is real because there is no second thing that exists other than the Soul, which is in the form of consciousness.

Sage Sankara said:~ Talk as much philosophy as you like, worship as many Gods as you please, observe ceremonies and sing devotional hymns, but liberation will never come, even after a hundred aeons, without realizing the Oneness.

Sage Sankara says: ~ “Brahman is the truth the world is unreal everything is truly Brahman and nothing else has any value.

The world is both real and unreal. It is real because it is a manifestation of consciousness, but is unreal, in the sense, that it is not absolute and eternal like consciousness itself.

People's approach is more practical, and they stuck with the reality of the world, they take it as real. That is why all the confusion.

One should not wish for the easy way to search the truth. In an easy way, there is ignorance. Ignorance is inborn. Ignorance is present in the form of ' the ‘I'. Ignorance has been nourished and passed on from one generation to the next.

Without getting rid of this inborn ignorance, it is impossible to realize the ultimate truth or Brahman.

The man+world (waking), are a product of ignorance. The man+world ceases to exist without ignorance.

In Self-awareness, there is neither the man nor the world because man+world = an illusion created out the Soul which is present in the form of consciousness.

The Soul is the Self. From the standpoint of the Soul the Self, the man+world = merely an illusion. Ignorance is present in the form of the ‘T’. 'I' is present in the form of mind. The Mind is present in the form of the universe.

The universe appears in the form of the waking or the dream (duality) and disappears as deep sleep (non-duality).

The ‘I’ is inborn samskara or conditioning, because of this inborn samskara or conditioning the illusion is experienced as a reality.

The ‘I’ itself is the illusion. And whatever is connected to the ‘I’ is bound to be an illusion.

The Soul, the Self is not an individual because it is birthless because it is formless. The Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness, is not limited to the waking experience alone because it pervades all the three states.

Identifying the Self without the form alone is erroneous because the Soul, the  Self is without the illusory form, without the time, and without space.

Remember:~

Sage  Sankara: ~"That which permeates all, which nothing transcends and which, like the universal space around us, fills everything completely from within and without, that Supreme non-dual Brahman — that thou art."

Sage  Sankara, is one of the greatest thinkers of all time. This world owes him a deep debt of gratitude. He not only consolidated the classical values of life but also spiritual wisdom.

Unfortunately, few philosophers in the world are as misunderstood and misinterpreted as Sage Sankara. Ironically, most of the harm came from his admirers and followers of the Advaitic sect because they propagated rituals as a means to attain lower knowledge which is meant for those believed in the physical existence (universe or the waking) as a reality.

There are two kinds of audiences - the ordinary ones who desire the transitory heaven and other pleasures obtained as a result of ritual sacrifices, and the most advanced seekers who seek to know the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth.

The Guru and Guru Paramparas are meant for the first audience, to help lead its followers along the way. However, there is no need to follow any parampara and follow any Guru those who wish to realize the truth which is beyond the form, time, and space.

We should not mix religion with spirituality because religion is based on the ego and spirituality is based on the Soul.   The religion is concerned with its paramparas, not truth whereas spirituality is concerned only with the truth, which is beyond the form, time, and space. Religion is not Spirituality.

Ashtavakra Samhita: ~ "The man of knowledge (Gnani), though living like an ordinary man, is contrary to him and only those like him understand his state.

Upanishads: ~ Fools dwelling in darkness, but thinking they wise and erudite, go round and round, by various tortuous paths, like the blind led by the blind. (Upanishads Nikilanada - (Ch II-5 P-14)

Sage  Sankara: ~ VC~.63-"Without knowing and examining the external world, one can’t know the Truth, as the idea that the external world exists, won't go. It can go only by an inquiry into the nature of the external world.

After verifying through deeper inquiry if one finds the world is the reality within the illusion then he cannot again say the world is not an illusion.

If one is frightened to accept the world is an illusion (waking) then he is unfit to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.

Those who stuck with the reality of the world are stuck with the reality of the individual experiences of birth, life, and death, which takes place within the unreal world.
The pursuit of truth is for those who have the courage to accept the reality as it is, that is the reality without form, time and space.

All is consciousness.  The whole universe is consciousness. From consciousness, the universe comes. When universe disappears,  consciousness still remains without form, time and space.

Sage Sankara: ~ “All this universe which through ignorance appears as of diverse forms, is nothing else but Brahman (Consciousness) which is absolutely free from all the limitations of human thought.

When you finally realize the Self  ‘is not you but the Self is the Soul then you will realize the world in which you exist is merely an illusion created out of the Soul. The Soul is present in the form of consciousness.

Sage Sankara says:~ VC-47 All the effects of ignorance, root, and branch, are burnt down by the fire of knowledge, which arises from discrimination between these two—the Self and the non-Self.

Until you think you are an individual separate from the world and the world existed prior to you and you are born in it afterward the ignorance will prevail as a reality. Till ignorance is there the universe prevails as a reality.

No one can teach anybody. The wisdom is hidden within the world in which you exist. A Gnani can only show the way that much is the work of a Gnani.

A Gnani only guides the seekers to apply their own reason and realize the truth, which is beyond the form, time, and space.

When the seeker learns to view and judge and reason the three states on the base of the Soul, the truth will start unfolding on its own. First, the seeker may find it difficult to use soulcentric reason but gradually it will become easy. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar
